Year 2 English - Voices in the Park and Mrs Brown's Dogs!

This week the children in Year 2 have read the book, ‘Voices in the Park’ by Anthony Browne.  They are focusing on the dogs that feature in the story and debating whether dogs should be allowed in public places without being on a lead.  To help them gather some facts to support their opinions, they used the iPads to research information about dogs and made notes about what they read.

The children were also introduced to Mrs Brown’s dogs, Solo and Sasha.  The children watched the dogs’ behaviour and formed opinions about whether they think all dogs should be on a lead in public places.  They then went on to have a question and answer session with Mrs Brown and her son about the dogs’ behaviour and routine.
