Work and Make

Saplings observed a painting called 'The Circus' by the French painter George Seurat. The children were able to identify the clown and the ringmaster from the painting, which lead to an interesting discussion about dramatic performances within circus life.

The Saplings then created, with pastels, their own 'dramatic performance' pieces using an artistic technique known as 'Pointillism', which George Seurat used in his painting.

We definitely have some budding artists in Saplings!
